Bruce Johnson was born and raised in Lansing Michigan.
He started playing guitar at the age of 13 at local gatherings. At age
20 he played with the second edition of a band called 4/5ths.
It was a college rock band who performed at
Michigan State University
at various clubs in and around
East Lansing as well as college parties. The he
joined a country and blue grass band, they played all over Michigan and they were an opening act for
Charlie Daniels. Bruce later decided to pursue a military career and
spent 20 years in the Marines. Since retirement in 1996 he has renewed
his love for music and added drums, dobro, harmonica, and keyboard to
his instrumental abilities. He moved to
Indiana
in 2001. He has joined forces with the other talented musicians in The
Noble Creek Band. He is hopeful to do some great things as a group.
